There are no steps to Realization

"There are no steps to Realization. There is nothing gradual about it. It happens suddenly and is irreversible. You rotate into a new dimension seen from which the previous ones are a mere abstractions.  Just like on sunrise, you see things as they are, so on self-realization you see everything as it is. The world of illusions is left behind."

Keep on Remembering

"...keep on remembering: I am neither the mind nor its ideas: do it patiently and with conviction and you will surely come to the direct vision of yourself as the source of being, knowing, loving, eternal, all embracing, all pervading."

Purpose of Intellect

All living beings are aware of their surroundings; and, therefore, intellect must be surmised in all of them.  At the same time, there is a difference between the intellect of man and that of other animals because man not only sees the world as it is and acts accordingly, but also seeks fulfillment of desires.  He extends his vision far and wide, and yet he turns away dissatisfied.  He then begins to think and reason out.  The desire for permanency of happiness and for peace bespeaks such permanency of his own nature.  Therefore, he seeks to find and regain his own nature, i.e., his Self.  That found, all is found.  Such inward seeking is the path to be gained by man's intellect.  The intellect itself realizes after continuous practice that it is enabled by some Higher Power to function.  It cannot itself reach that Power.  So it ceases to function after a certain stage.  When it thus ceases to function, the Supreme Power is still left there all alone.  That is Realization; that is the finality; and that is the goal.  It is thus plain that the purpose of the intellect is to realize its own dependence on the Higher Power and its inability to reach the same.

This is your prime difficulty

"It is the belief that the world is real that is the cause of one's difficulty in keeping out habitual thoughts. Were it not for this belief, realization of your Self would be easy.  And this is your prime difficulty, this belief that the the body, mind and world are real."

The world cannot give what it does not have

"Once you have understood that the world is but a mistaken view of reality, and is not what it appears to be, you are free of its  obsessions."

Turn the mind within and abide there steadfastly.

People refuse to leave their hut

"People don't fail in their cosmic quest because they lack

intelligence. The reason for failure can be illustrated by

a case: A man living in an uncomfortable hut is told he has

inherited a mansion, but, if he refuses to leave his hut, he

cannot occupy his new home. He may insist on a guarantee that

the mansion actually exists, but his only guarantee is to see

and occupy the mansion for himself. "

70.  Question:  So far I understand.  But what about the body?  How could I feel this in the body?      Bhagavan:  You can feel yourself as one with the One that exists:  the whole body becomes a mere power, a force-current; your life becomes a needle drawn to a huge mass of magnet; and, as you go deeper and deeper, you become a mere center, and then not even that for you become mere consciousness.
